Following welcome remarks from this year's BOMA Medical Real Estate Committee Co-Chairs, Jim Croy and Jason Ruggles, we are pleased to bring you this year's opening keynote speaker, Dr. Larry Van Horn, a non-traditional academic whose activity spans business, health policy and academia.
A renowned expert and researcher on health care management and economics, Dr. Larry Van Horn is a Professor at Vanderbilt University's Owen Graduate School of Management and a leading figure within the Vanderbilt health care community. He is the Executive Director of Health Affairs and Founder and Director of the Center of Health Care Market Innovation at Vanderbilt. He is also Co-Director of Nashville Health Care Council Fellows Program (alongside Senator Bill Frist). Professor Van Horn will share his research and perspectives on consumer driven health care, transparency in healthcare markets, and the shifts that are changing how hospital systems and insurers operate.
